Our Mission

Our goal is to be your complete automotive maintenance center in the Sandusky/Seneca/Ottawa county area. We are not the lowest-priced garage in the area...we are not the fastest garage in the area...but we are the most advanced, customer-satisfaction oriented shop in Northern Ohio. Our objective is to provide our customers with cutting-edge diagnostic and maintenance services to keep your vehicle on the road and maintain its value.

Company Profile

Ash Automotive is a complete automotive repair facility located in Fremont, Ohio. We repair both foreign and domestic cars and light duty trucks. We also offer fleet maintenance, repairs and installations on medium and heavy-duty trucks. Below are just some of the services we offer:

Quarterly maintenance service (you may know this as a lube oil and filter...our quarterly maintenance services go way beyond what's available at the quick-lube type service outlets.)
Complete brake work
Warranty exhaust systems
Major engine repair and replacement
Collision repair including paint blending and major frame work
Computer diagnostics, carburetor and fuel injection repair and diagnostics using the very latest equipment and information technologies.
Fleet maintenance, repair, and accessory installation on medium and heavy-duty vehicles.

A brief history

After working at Garland Garage for seven years, John Ash and his wife, Kathryn, purchased the business in 1953. At that time it was located on Ohio Ave. in Fremont. In 1961 John and Kathryn built the current building located on East State St. The name was changed to Ash Auto Body Service in 1968 and was incorporated in 1976. Through the years, all seven of John and Kathryn's children have worked at the business. In 1996, Scott, Doug, and Phil Ash purchased the business.

Doug Ash

One of the co-owners of Ash Automotive, Doug is responsible for all bookeeping and accounting procedures and is also the voice you'll most likey hear when you call us.

Phil Ash

One of the co-owners of Ash Automotive, Phil is our service manager. He will detail your service order and make sure our technicians understand your requests clearly. Phil is also our body repair estimator and can quickly and accurately assese any body work your vehicle may need.

Scott Ash

One of the co-owners of Ash Automotive, Scott is our shop manager, wrecker manager and heavy-duty equipment specialist. He can arrange for any towing needs you have and can handle any heavy-duty equipment maintenence or accessory installations needs.

Our business hours are 8 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday. After business hours, for 24 hour emergency road service and towing service, just call our regular number. Our answering service will promptly dispatch a driver to your location.
